Michelle grew up in Saint Louis, Missouri in the middle part of the century. Things changed swiftly as they often do and Michelle found herself loving the great outdoors, and being in nature. Singing and the enjoyment of music became her solace. It wasn’t until she was almost a senior in high school that she visited her first art museum, and marveled at the beauty of the paintings, tapestries, and sculpture. She had always wanted to be creative but felt that her path had been blocked. It wasn’t until years later that she took a few lessons in oils at a local hobby shop. She was hooked but actually put it aside for many years as family and career took precedence. It wasn’t until retirement and a couple of moves that she allowed herself to paint again, this time in acrylics. It began with a course in painting/mark making on fabric and then using embroidery to develop it. Through that forum she learned about an online art group led by Louise Fletcher in the UK. Michelle took a free course and she was off on her new adventure.

When she isn’t creating, she’s out on the trails with her dogs, Alaskan Malamutes, Kada and Rocket.
